DirecTV offers a variety of base packages that cost a lot less than cable
You can start enjoying satellite television starting at $38.99 a month when you install a DirecTV system for one satellite receiver. Additional DirecTV receivers can access the same package, as long as they are connected to the same telephone line, for an additional $4.99 a month.
The $38.99 a month package, called Total Choice, includes all the popular cable television networks and your local television channels, where available. You’ll receive a total of 115 movie, family, entertainment, sports and music channels.
For an extra dollar a month -- $39.99 – you can enjoy 135 great channels with Total Choice Plus. With more family-oriented channels, this may be the package for you.
You can have it all with DirecTV’s Total Choice Premier package for just $87.99 a month. This programming option features all the local and cable channels offered in the Total Choice Plus package, along with all channels of HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz and The Movie Channel.
DirecTV customers can order premium sports packages and adult movie channels to augment any of the base packages. Also, DirecTV customers who don’t want local television stations or have access to local programming can order any of the base packages for slightly less each month.
